Hi!, my name is Gabriel Cuenca, but most people refer to me as Gabs. I am a first year university student currently studying media and communications with a bachelor of commerce at the UOW. This blog will mostly cover a lot of the work and assignments I will be conducting throughout the course of my degree, as well as getting to know me a bit better.

So lets start with a bit of a background shall we. I graduated high school in the eastern suburbs and am currently living in Oatley(which is pretty much just outside the shire). I currently get the train down to Wollongong each day I have uni which takes around 50 minutes there and back. You might think thats a long time, but considering I went to school all the way in Bondi, I’m used to the travel and actually quite enjoy it!. Anyways, now down to some facts about me and some of the hobbies in which I love to do!.

• I love music and practically listen to it everyday, in fact so much so that I make my own!. A few years ago I started to DJ at parties and was really keen to start producing my own music. I am currently on Spotify and trade under the artist name of ‘ZUSO’. I continue to dj at pubs and parties, but yeah if you guys could drop a listen to some of my tracks that would be awesome!.
• I have also played the piano for 13 years and was lucky enough to attend a music tour in 2015 with a bunch of my mates from school.
• I’m a sports lover, I love all types of sports from Football (Soccer) to Rugby League and Cricket (yes cricket). I’ve played soccer for 7 years and also sometimes play golf here and there. I’ve also played cricket as well, but It ended up being too hot and long, so now I mostly just watch it.

So in saying all this, I will also be blogging about some of these topics along with the uni work I will be doing.

Now this blog isn’t just about me, I will also love to get to know you guys!. What your passionate about, what your studying and plan to do in the future.

For me the future is still wide open with endless opportunities. I feel in studying a media and communications degree will help me understand and market my music a bit better through social and digital platforms, which in turn will hopefully help me reach a broader audience. Doing commerce also gives me the opportunity to understand things from a business point of view and help me understand the corporate world.

Anyways, I am supper excited to get started and meet everyone!. I don’t know if this is even a good intro to my blog, but we’ll soon wait and see!. Hope to see everyone soon!!
